The 66 books of the Bible are the inerrant Word of God, as such, they are our only rule for faith and practice in all things that matter. The whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for His own glory, man’s salvation, faith and life is set down in the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is most perfect and complete in all respects. In the Bible, we learn of the true God and His plan of salvation.
As a church, our belief is in the Bible. But we do not stand alone in our understanding of the Bible. We believe in the ecumenical creeds, the 5 Solas of the Reformation, the sovereignty of God over all things and the Westminster Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of Christian Doctrine
Over 2000 years ago, God's eternally begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was one person with a fully divine nature and He took upon Himself a fully human nature. He lived a perfect and sinless life fulfilling that covenant which Adam failed, taught the way of salvation and died a death on a cross as a substitute for sinners. When Jesus died on the Cross He represented all who would believe in Him, and took upon Himself the punishment from God that we deserve for our sins. As our sins were imputed to Him, so also is His righteousness imputed to those who place their faith in Him. On the third day, He rose victorious from the dead. After this resurrection, He appeared to His followers and to over 500 eyewitnesses. He commissioned his disciples to go and "make disciples of all nations baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you". After this, He ascended to the right hand of His Father in Heaven, and sent the Holy Spirit into the world to be with us forever. One day He will come back again to judge the living and the dead. Those who believe in Him and His finished work, with a true faith, will have eternal life and perfect union with the triune God in heaven, but to those who do not believe there will be condemnation in hell under God's eternal and just wrath. To save us from God's wrath the Lord of the universe shed His blood for sinful humans to bring about the forgiveness of our sins. Eternal life through Christ's sacrifice can be had by placing your trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
